As an artist, you have control over the content in your artist profile on the Artist Project website! This means that you will be able to add and change the content on your profile whenever it is convenient for you.
You will have been sent an email from us from email@example.com with a username, password and login link. Once you are ready to upload your profile, click on the link provided in the email. Then enter the username and the password provided. Click Login.
If you are a re-sign artist, your profile will already exist. Your username will be your first and last name. If you have lost or forgotten our password, simply click on the “Lost your password?” link.
This will take you to the backend Dashboard of the website. Next, click on Artist located in the left side bar. To access your profile, click on your name in the menu. This will take you to your profile page.
To add your bio, simply click on the text box below your name and type in your artist bio.
Please note that your bio must be 120 words or less. Anything over 120 words will not appear on your profile. To monitor this, there is a word counter located at the bottom left corner of the text box.
To add your website, click the Website field under the Artist Information section. Then simply type in your website URL. You do not need to include “www.” at the beginning of your website URL as the link will do this automatically. This may be helpful if your website URL is particularly long.
To add your location, enter the information in the Location field below. Please add your city/town, province (if applicable) and country.
We highly recommend that you prepare your artist headshot to the specified dimensions of 180px by 180px or crop it so that it is a square before uploading it to your profile.

Once you have your image ready to upload, click on Set Feature Image to the right of your biography. You can either drag and drop your image file here or click on the Select Files button. Click on your headshot file, then click open. You will see your headshot upload and automatically selected. Finally, make sure you click on the blue Set Featured Image button to attach this image to your profile.
Just like your headshot, we highly recommend that you prepare your images before uploading. All images on the front end of your artist profile will be re-sized to the maximum width of 475px OR maximum height of 690px, whichever one comes first. This is mostly a concern if your images are smaller than this size as the automatic enlargement of your images may cause it to become pixelated. To ensure your images look the best, we recommend that you prepare your images by re-sizing them to the specified dimensions before uploading them to your profile.

To upload your images, scroll down to the Attachments section below Artist Information and click on the Attach button. Here, drag or select the 3 images that you wish to showcase in your profile. Please note that even though, you may be able to upload more than 3 images, the front end of your profile will only show the first 3 attached.
Once all the images are uploaded, click on Show to the right of each image and then click Attach. You must do this for all 3 images. This will ensure that each image will be attached to your profile.
Once you’ve attached all of your images, you can go ahead and close the window. You will then be able to see your uploaded files.
Now you can add the credits to each piece. To keep things consistent, please ensure that it follows the following format:
Title of work, Year of creation, medium or materials used, dimension in inches.
Here is an example for you to follow: Ontario Farm, 2013, Acrylic on canvas, 60” x 60”
Finally, before submitting your profile, make sure you preview your profile to ensure that all of your information is correct and that all images appear in the proper format. Scroll up to the top of the page and click on the Preview button under the Publish section located on the right side above your headshot. A new window will pop up that will allow you to view what your final profile will look like.
Once you have reviewed your profile, go ahead and click on the blue Submit for Review button. Your profile will now be submitted to the Artist Project where a member of the team will conduct a final review before setting it live.
Your deadline to upload your profile is Sunday, December 6 as the Artist Gallery will go live to the public on Thursday, December 10. After it has gone live, you can log into your account at any time to change any of your information and images.
